Boston, Massachusetts – November 26, 2018 BlueWave Solar (BlueWave) is delighted to announce the hiring of Arash Boostani as Chief Technology Officer. In his role, Arash will lead BlueWave’s growing team of software engineers and product designers working to expand BlueWave’s technological capabilities and product offerings, including their community solar and home solar loan platforms.
“With the growth of our community solar and home solar loan offerings, technology tools have played an increasingly important role in signing up and servicing our customers, as well as supporting our growing network of partners,” said Trevor Hardy, BlueWave’s CEO. “With the addition of Arash to the BlueWave team, we are reaffirming our commitment to creating the best-in-class solar fintech solutions. Arash’s deep experience and expertise in solar software solutions make him a valuable addition to the team and we are thrilled to have him on board.”
BlueWave’s Solar Management Platform (SMP) enables their network of installer partners to sign up new customers for BlueWave home solar loans and community solar subscriptions. Further, the platform enables community solar customers to manage their subscriptions and pay bills, and allows community solar service clients to oversee BlueWave’s customer acquisition and management across their projects. Collectively, BlueWave’s technology solutions have become an important part of their value-add to customers, clients, and partners, changing access to their solar solutions, and making it easier to navigate their solar experience.
“It’s no secret that BlueWave is quickly emerging as an industry leader in the solar fintech space,” said Arash Boostani, BlueWave’s new CTO. “Their people and products are some of the best I’ve seen in the industry and I’m beyond excited to be joining their growing team. I look forward to working with the team to deliver technology solutions that distinguish BlueWave as a preferred partner in the industry.”
Arash comes to BlueWave from Spruce Finance Inc. (Spruce), a leading solar fintech and asset management firm, where he led the design and development of SpruceFlow, a solar financing origination and underwriting platform. With investments from Kleiner Perkins, Google Ventures, Edison International and Duke Energy, Spruce has long been a leading developer of web-based solar technology solutions.
Arash has over 10 years of experience in the solar industry and has worked as a technology and software developer for more than 25 years for organizations including Wikipedia and Genentech.
Arash is based in San Francisco, along with a growing BlueWave California team.
